Michelle Willis is a great new entry into the Pop/Country genre! Michelle is a vivacious young talent from Louisiana who possesses a maturity well beyond her years, both in her musical abilities and in her character.
On stage, her winsome spirit, passionate performances, and unexpected vocal ability all work together to quickly engage audiences, while off stage, you will encounter a charming and endearing personality with a tender heart toward others. Since the age of three, she has been sharing her love for singing and entertaining.
Her talent was first noticed through her participation in her church choir. Her dream of becoming an entertainer began at the age of eight when she performed in her first musical theater production. The standing ovation she received at that event was the spark that gave birth to the idea that she should pursue this dream.
Since then, she has performed in many musical theater productions and even landed the lead role of Annie in Annie, the Musical, which played to sold-out performances each night. In addition to musical theater, Michelle has sung in numerous community events and festivals.
But, it wasn’t until she won first place in the professional division at a state festival, that she truly began to realize and seriously pursue her goal of becoming a professional singer. At the age of 11, she was discovered by an online talent scout and was featured on the Stars to Come web magazine, which led to an invitation for her to travel to Nashville and audition before industry professionals.
She was one of twenty people to be invited from across the nation, and as a result, she was offered a contract with PCG Nashville, the nation’s premier artist development company. The President of PCG Nashville, Bernard Porter, describes her as “a musical prodigy”.
Working with the best in the business, Michelle has come into her own as a singer/songwriter. She has been consistently featured in the Top 40 at VRadio Nashville, the Top 30 at Music Road Radio Nashville, and her music is played on many other independent radio stations and has even been picked up by local FM stations in Louisiana.
She has been one of the featured artists on Reverbnation; has received international awards for her original song “Broken Sky”; and she has performed at numerous venues across the south central states.
She has opened for the likes of The 2 Steel Girls from The Voice; Rockin’ Dopsie Jr & The Zydeco Twisters; Taylor Matthew from America’s Got Talent; Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers; Little Texas; David St. Romain; and others. As a singer/songwriter, she has written a variety of original songs and she released her first album in 2015.
She is currently working on her next album. Her goal is simple: She loves to bring happiness to people and she wants to make a positive difference with her music.
