Eddy Bugnut, affectionately known as Bug, is a Canadian musician, songwriter, and record producer who writes and performs guitar-based songs. He works from his project studio called the Devil’s Workshop and is currently recording the follow-up to his recently released solo album, Heavy Medicine.
Bug’s own label, Bugnut Records , makes a diverse collection of music recordings available for alternative media projects.
Bug formerly played lead guitar and was producer for Major Goodvibes ,a band which released 3 CDs (”Fearful Feasible Feast”, “Shut Up and Get Out of My Mansion!” and “Girl’s In Love With My Money”) and was featured on two compilation albums, “Vancouver Seeds” and New York City’s “Reaction (Vol.7)”.
Previously a house engineer at Jonestown Sound Recorders in Vancouver he has also played bass with some of Vancouver’s most notable club acts, including Ettinger, Big Radio, and Papa Woody. Before hitting the road to perform full-time he taught music theory and arrangement at Douglas College.
In addition to his own solo material and collaborations he is currently producing new recordings for ADHD, Patos and Major Goodvibes.
